A journey through the heart of the Silk Road
Turquoise domes, tiled madrasahs and a bazaar that has traded on the same corner for six centuries. An optional cultural day for representatives staying on after the forum — unhurried, and hosted by MultiPath Expert.

GETTING AROUND
Set Up Yandex Go Before You Travel
Yandex Go is the ride-hailing app in both countries, and how you will get between your hotel, the venues and the restaurants. Set it up before you fly — registration needs an SMS code.

Install the app
Find Yandex Go on the App Store or Google Play. Same app in both countries.

Register with your own mobile number
Use the number you will travel with — the code arrives by SMS. Then add your name.

Allow location and notifications
Location places your pick-up pin; notifications tell you when the driver arrives.

Add your bank card
Menu → Payment → Add card. Visa and Mastercard both work. Your bank may ask for a 3-D Secure confirmation, so do this at home rather than abroad.

Or choose cash instead
Select Cash before confirming and pay the driver at the end. Carry small notes — tenge and som; drivers rarely have change.

Book a ride
Set pick-up and destination, choose a class, confirm. The app shows the car, plate and driver, and lets you share the trip.
